The future of private data in private companies
Technology allows private companies the gathering of a growing amount of personal data from his customers or prospective customers that may end in the hands of law enforcement agencies (LEAs). This article analyses the current situation of personal data gathering and processing by private companies, the changes occurred in the way LEAs carry out their work and proposes some minimum requirements for safeguarding citizens’ right to privacy and data protection.
