Ces dernières années, les scandales comptables et les affaires de mauvaise gestion ont fait beaucoup de bruit, appelant un meilleur contrôle au niveau de la direction des entreprises. Les comités d’audits sont un outil important pour assurer un tel contrôle et sont devenus, dans le monde entier, une partie intégrante d'une bonne « Corporate Governance ». Ces comités d’audit se sont établis dans différents environnements culturels et juridiques. Ainsi que le montre le présent article, l'importance qu'a prise la gouvernance d'entreprise au niveau mondial fait du comité d’audit un exemple typique de « legal transplant ». (sl)
