Viele Parteien sind derzeit aufgrund der Covid-19-Pandemie nicht in der Lage, ihre aus internationalen Kaufverträgen stammenden Verpflichtungen in angemessener Weise zu erfüllen. Das englische Recht als das weltweit am häufigsten vereinbarte Handelsrecht kennt für solche Situationen hauptsächlich zwei Rechtsinstitute: Frustration und die Force-Majeure-Klausel. Im Folgenden soll die Anwendung dieser beiden Rechtsprinzipien im Hinblick auf die Auswirkungen von Covid-19 auf internationale Kaufverträge analysiert werden.
