Le 29 novembre 2023, le département fédéral de l’intérieur suisse a affirmé que la prophylaxie préexposition contre le VIH (PrEP) pour les personnes qui présentent un risque accru serait remboursée par l’assurance obligatoire des soins à partir du 1er juillet 2024. Cet article analyse le cadre juridique du remboursement de la PrEP et ses conséquences pour la santé publique. Il s’agit d’un progrès pour la prévention du VIH, mais des préoccupations concernant la perception du risque et une stigmatisation potentielle demeurent. Cet article est à notre connaissance le premier examen de droit de la santé publique de la PrEP en Suisse.
